School Annual Report 2015-16

We look  to the Almighty and express our thanks to Him   for his abundant blessings on all of us in the past years.

St. Paul Hr Sec School is in its 53rd year of existence. At present the school has  a strength of 3599 students, with 1959 in the primary and 1640 in High School. We also run a Hindi medium school in the afternoon shift for the benefit of the less privileged sections of the society. Working consistently towards achieving perfection, our students' outstanding performance won laurels   for the school.

In academics, the school produced an excellent result in the Board Examinations. The meritorious students who secured highest marks in Senior Secondary sections for different streams are: -Anshul Jain with 94 %,Devaesh Bhatia with  91.6%, Amber Mangal with 91% and Jalaj Ranka with90.6%.. Shubham Kapse secured admission in Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal by clearing AIPMT and Anshul Jain got his way in BITS Pilani and made the school proud.

In class X, outof 215 students appeared for the Board Examination, 10students were awarded the perfect score of 10CGPA for their meritorious performance.
Possessing the passion for achieving excellence, Paulians display an indomitable will and undying zeal to face challenges and emerge victorious in all their endeavors. Therefore, nurturing excellence and celebrating success is a way of life at St.Paul.

The following list of our extra ordinary achievements, indeed make us proud.

Tanish Agrawal was awarded for painting by department of Energy conservation, Government of India and Divyansh Sharma received the Award as a 'STAR ARTIST' in the Camlin group PICASSO and in a drawing competition organized by M.P. Pradushan Board.

In the 'TCS IT QUIZ', organized for the computer students, our school entered in the finals and was declared as the 'first runners up.' The team members were Rudraksh Tripathi and Prakhar Mishra.

A 'SLOGAN WRITING' competition was organized by the 'Times of India Group and Indian Oil Corporation'. Two of our students Saiyam Chopra and Siddharth Kumar bagged the Gold Medal for the same.

An Inter School English Debate Competition was organized by Choithram Collage of Nursing.' Kartik Tiwari and Japish Trivedi of our school participated   and made the school proud by securing first position both for and against the motion.

In an Inter School Hindi Debate competition, Sarthak Mittal secured first position.

In Foot Ball Tournament' our school team received medals and a trophy for the 'Runners Up'.

Our Basket Ball team made us proud when they clinched the much coveted championship for 'Sahodaya Interschool Basketball Tournament' against Golden International School and were awarded with medals and a Trophy.

The Paulian's created record in the history of St. Paul as they participated in Senior Bal Vigyan held in the city for various subjects under the banner of Indore Sahodaya Group. Out of 7 competitions they received awards and prizes for 5 subjects. For Chemistry our boys received the 'THE BEST SCHOOL AWARD' . For Physics they were given award for 'OVER ALL BEST PERFORMANCE' .In Maths, Biology and Computer Science, our students were awarded for the 'BEST CONTENT AND KNOWLEDGE.

Our teachers constantly strive to stay updated by attending workshops & various training programmes. They implement the latest trends in pedagogy by incorporating them in the Digital Learning Technology of "Tata Smart Classes" for the benefit of our students.

The school, like every year, installed its new Student's Council in a solemn oath taking ceremony. They were reminded of their commitments and duties.

St. Paul has been always backed by the support and cooperation of an active and dynamic Parent Teachers Association. Elections for the executive committee were held on the 11th of July. Mr. Manish Dixit was elected as the President. Mr. Praveen Gangotra and Mr.Matin Farooqui as Vice Presidents and Adv. Shri. D.G. Mishra as the General the Secretary.
An educational tour was organized to Nainital and Jim Corbat Park from 17th October to 23rd October. The seamless beauty of nature bestowed by God for humans was explored by our students at the hill stations.

Special sessions on Career guidance, Time management, Leadership training, Memory tests and Seminars are organized for the students to provide exceptional learning opportunities and empower students to make informed decisions, regarding their future. Resource persons are invited from various renowned institutions to animate the sessions

Our school inculcates a sense of national integration and spirit of religious harmony among students in various ways, and this is done by celebrating various major National and Religious festivals like Dussehra ,Deepawali, Eid, Gurunank Jayanti, Christmas and Holi.We also celebrate Independence day, Hindi Diwas, Teachers day, Children's day and Indian Constitution Day'. Each of these celebrations enables our students to promote greater devotion towards God with deeper sense of love, harmony and respect for one another.

We have such movements like the NCC, NSS, and Scouts. They foster in each student discipline, cordiality, leadership quality, spirit of cooperation and patriotism. Through the school Magazine an effort is made to showcase the talents of our young journalist every year and to reach out to our well wishers and parents with the actives of the school.

The school has a very active and vibrant Alumini and I am happy to announce that a Global Alumini meet was organized in the school from  19, 20 and 22 December. In order to give a vent to the creative and scientific urge of our students, the school organized a science exhibition 'ARTEKNOW 2015' on 5th of December. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Anup Kumar Dutta, Head of the Department, School of Physics, D.A.V.V. Indore and Fr.Dr.Michael John as the presiding Guest.

It has been just a few months, since I have taken over the reins of this reputed school from the capable hands of Fr.Thomas Mathew. I owe a debt of gratitude to him and also to Fr.Dr.Jolly John who rendered their services to this institution as the principal and Manager respectively. I am indeed grateful to them for the legacy that they have passed on to me. I am proud to announce that the newly appointed   Manager of our school    Fr.Biju Mathew will guide us in our endeavor to achieve the goals for which our school stands.

Before I conclude the Annual Report let me once again inform  you, dear parents, that St. Paul goes 'CO-ED' from 2016.

On this glorious day I would like to express my since gratitude to our Chief Guest Mr.Vipin Kumar Maheshwari IPS our Chairperson Most. Rev. Bp.  Chacko Thottumarickel SVD for their presence and encouragement, our Manager Father Biju Mathew, for his guidance, Vice Principal Sr. Grace and all the members of the faculty for their dedication. 

Dear parents and PTA Executive members, we acknowledge your enthusiasm and motivation and thank you for your continued cooperation and encouragement.
